Welcome back for Term 6.
The dance festival is on Friday 30th June. We have already started choreographing our dance and this year we are dancing to ‘The Bear Necessities’ the children will be able to dress up as their favourite jungle animal. Please bear in mind that it could be hot when choosing a costume.
Our Swimming sessions will continue to be on a Wednesday morning. Please make sure your Hedgehog’s school shoes are
labelled or recognisable to them in some way.
From Tuesday the 20th June we will be starting The Great Out Tours with Farmer John in the mornings, this will run for 5 weeks. The children will need to come to school in a change of clothes and shoes (wellies if raining). They will need to bring their school uniform in to change into after the sessions.
Our topic for Term 6 is 'Changing Me' Take a look at the term plan.

Term 5 was another busy one! Just take a look.
In hedgehogs we talked about healthy lunches.
We learnt about how to look after our teeth and the importance of hygiene.
Writing instructions.
Exploring how things are changing and growing in our school grounds.
We enjoyed celebrating the King's Coronation and acting our own versions.
We made a healthy fruit salad.
Wow! Just look at our Hedgehogs class enjoying their new outdoor play area. It has a new water wall, wooden play house, sand kitchen and Astro turf. A much needed update for our EYFS outside classroom. The children have really loved playing with it today. They have been building bridges, making dams and finding new routes for the water. They 'cooked' lots of different meals in the sand kitchen and had fun playing tennis on the Astro turf.

‘50 Things to do before you’re 5’, is a bucket list of fun and educational activities for families to do – all low-cost or no cost! These activities get children talking and help solve the problem of children starting school with low literacy levels, language skills, or just a lack of life experiences. Many of the 50 things ideas easily transfer to fun activities for the whole family.
