Learning Mentor

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? Do you have the resilience, creativity, and compassion to support young people to thrive, even in the face of challenges? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking an experienced, trauma-informed Learning Mentor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with targeted children, providing vital emotional and academic support that empowers them to achieve their full potential.

Working Hours are 8.30-3.15 Monday-Friday, 39 weeks a year (Term Time only)

Purpose of the Role:

To become a part of our support staff team, working alongside our SENCO. The role of the Learning Mentor will be to address the emotional and behavioural needs of pupils who require support to overcome the barriers to learning they experience both inside and outside the school, in order that they are able to achieve their full potential. The role will involve working with children of all ages in our primary school through group activities, 1:1 support and support in the classroom.

Are you the right person to join our team?

We are currently looking for several Midday Supervisors to start as soon as possible. Part time, term time only for 5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will work during the lunch time period leading and promoting playground games and social activity. You will need to be creative and able to work on your own initiative. Experience of working in a childcare provision is desirable.
