Ofsted
Ofsted visit 20th March 2018.
I am delighted to tell you that Rocks Park remains a Good school with no further inspection due for another 3 years. This is an excellent achievement for the school, particularly given that it has gone through a period of significant change over the past 18 months.
The inspector makes many positive comments regarding the children including, “pupils show a strong attitude to learning,” “they work hard and are keen to succeed,” and “they are friendly and welcoming to visitors.”
I was also delighted to see the comment from a parent who stated that, “The school is one big team who are always on hand to deal with any matters that arise.” I am incredibly proud of all of my staff who work so hard every day to ensure that the school can shine the way it did when Ofsted visited last term. From our office staff to our teachers and teaching assistants, they all have one focus and that is ensuring our children are the happiest and healthiest they can be. I would also like to thank Mrs Rowland and the Governors whose leadership of the school is also highly commended throughout the report. This Ofsted report becomes a benchmark with which we can continue to move the school forward and our next objective is obviously to aim for outstanding in 2021, when we will next be due for inspection. With your continued support, which is tremendous, the findings in this inspection prove that we are in a strong position and can continue progress as a school and I for one find this very exciting.
Mr Best, Headteacher.
